Cable ONE Donates Computers & Equipment to Humboldt School District

Cable ONE donates Chromebooks to Humboldt Schools.

Last week Cable ONE Prescott associates made a special delivery of desktop computers, laptops, monitors and computer accessories valued at more than $13,000 to the Humboldt Unified School District Information Technology (IT) Department.

This is the third donation of computers and equipment that Cable ONE has made to the Humboldt Unified School District in the past five years.  Humboldt District IT Director Patrick Keeling says this equipment will be used across the District to replace aging/failing devices.

“Donations like this allow our IT department to not only replace aging equipment without having to expend funds, but in this case allows us to make some small targeted upgrades,” said Keeling. “Over the last few years Cable ONE has donated a number of items that IT has deployed to our various campuses. We appreciate their continued support in the ongoing struggle to maintain/upgrade our technology with limited financial resources. We are grateful their generosity and partnership.”

Cable ONE General Manager Dennis Edwards said this donation is just one way Cable ONE works to give back to the community.

“Being a strong community partner is central to our mission and we’re committed to improving the communities we serve,” said Edwards. “Donating this computer equipment is a natural fit because we believe strongly in improving education through the use of technology. We appreciate all that our schools do for the children in our community, and we want to do our part to help.”
