Cable ONE employees recently raised nearly $2,000 to help feed the less fortunate in Eastern Jackson County.
“Our employees recognized a growing need in our community. They worked together to through various fundraising methods by sacrificing their time and energy. All together raised $1970 to which will be donated to Our Daily Bread,” said Cable ONE Lead Technician JB Senseney. “We proud to be able to partner with our Daily Bread to help those in our community who are in need and I am honored to be part of a group of individuals who care this much.”
Our Daily Bread is a local non-profit whose mission is to feed the unemployed, homeless, and older individuals who are unable to feed themselves. Serving Gautier, Moss Point, and Pascagoula, Our Daily Bread is run on monetary donations and donations of canned goods, meat, vegetables, Styrofoam serving trays and plastic cutlery.
“Donations like this from Cable ONE are the only way can keep feeding the hungry,” said Mary Meldren, Executive Director Our Daily Bread. “Most of our elderly visitors are expected to live on $16 a month in federal assistance. If we have more individuals and companies giving like what we were blessed with from Cable ONE, we can reach even further in helping those that are struggling to find food.”
