Cable ONE recently doubled available speeds for high-speed internet customers in the majority of NewWave Communications markets, providing customers with access to speeds up to 200 Mbps.
Cable ONE is in the process of completing 32-channel bonding in NewWave markets in order to launch up to Gigabit speed for residential customers. More than 95 percent of legacy Cable ONE residential customers now have access to GigaONE® Gigabit service.
“As customers continue to stream, download, and connect across multiple devices in their homes, we know that speed is key in satisfying this growing demand,” said Julie Seff, Vice President of Residential Services for Cable ONE. “Doubling speeds as well as launching Gigabit service will create more customer value and provide a superior high-speed internet experience for our customers.”
Cable ONE plans to invest up to $60 million over three years on network upgrades and enhancements in NewWave markets.
“Our investment in improving and expanding the network in our NewWave markets enables us to deliver the fastest, most reliable internet connections at the best value, while contributing to the economic development of the communities we serve,” Seff said.
Cable ONE completed its acquisition of NewWave in May 2017. NewWave Communications provides high-speed internet, video and voice services to residential and business customers throughout non-urban areas of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Texas.
