Sparklight® Associates Volunteer at Memorial Honoring the Victims of the Sept. 11 Terrorist Attacks

With Saturday marking the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Sparklight® associates volunteered for the ninth consecutive year to help set up a display of nearly 3,000 American flags at the Prescott Valley Healing Field.

Each flagpole contains information about an individual whose life was lost in the attacks. In addition, boots are placed for firefighters, police and military personnel and teddy bears are placed for children.

“Although 20 years have passed, the impact and significance of what we lost on Sept. 11 is still strongly felt throughout the nation,” said Sparklight’s Prescott General Manager Dennis Edwards. “We are honored to participate in creating this visual and tangible reminder of those who are no longer with us.”

The Healing Field is open to the public through Friday, Sept. 17, at Civic Center Lawn located at 7501 E. Skoog Blvd. in Prescott Valley. Learn more at www.healingfieldpv.com.
