In the wake of the tornado that swept through Rolla this past weekend, Sparklight® is working hard to keep the community connected. To support residents facing power outages and limited internet access, the company has opened a free Wi-Fi hotspot, ensuring access to critical communication, emergency updates and essential resources.
The hotspot is available in the Sparklight office parking lot at 1304 E Hwy 72 in Rolla and will remain open throughout recovery efforts.
Additionally, Sparklight is donating to the Phelps County Disaster Relief Fund to support local relief and recovery. These funds will help provide food, shelter and other essential aid those in need. As part of the Rolla community, Sparklight is committed to standing alongside neighbors during this difficult time.
Sparklight technicians continue working around the clock to review and map fiber breaks, and repair or replace impacted plant and equipment to restore service to Rolla residents and businesses as quickly as possible.
“Sparklight is deeply committed to supporting our communities, especially in times of crisis,” said Sam McGill, Director, Regional Operations North Central. “As neighbors in the Rolla community, we understand how important it is to stay connected, and we’re dedicated to providing the support our customers need during this challenging time. We appreciate their patience and resilience as our team works around the clock to restore service and help with recovery efforts.”
